Scope of Work Completed: Resealed existing trim and completed necessary adjustments. During inspection, the tub/shower valve was found to be in poor condition with multiple pre-existing issues. Evidence indicates that previous installers damaged the valve assembly, including a broken and bent shower valve bracket that secures the trim faceplate. These conditions existed prior to today's service. Customer is aware of the valve's condition and the associated risks. JIG Plumbing strongly recommends replacement of the tub/shower valve to help prevent future leaks, failures, and potential water damage. No warranty is provided for the existing valve due to its current condition and pre-existing damage.

Upon arrival home owner Requested estimates for water service repair and or replacement.

Upon arrival, the technician met with the homeowner and confirmed the need to replace a customer-supplied Kohler shower cartridge. During disassembly, the technician found that the customer only had the front portion of the replacement cartridge. To complete the repair properly, the technician utilized components from a service kit to replace the rear portion of the cartridge assembly as well. Once the new cartridge components were installed, the technician reassembled the valve trim and thoroughly tested the shower for proper operation. The replacement not only restored proper function of the shower valve but also corrected a pre-existing issue where the hot and cold temperature orientation was reversed. The shower is now operating normally with the temperature control functioning in the correct direction. The technician verified proper operation and confirmed there were no leaks before completing the service.

Arrived, excavated to access the backwater valve, removed old valve, inspected lines, installed a new valve, added a downstream cleanout, sealed connections, tested for proper operation, and restored the site.

JIG Plumbing came out to remove and replace 1/2" copper threaded tub spout nipple. Replace copper tub spout stub-out with new 1/2" copper piping and fittings. Install customer-supplied slip-on tub spout. Solder connections, secure installation, test for leaks, and verify proper operation.

Upon arrival homeowner informed Technician of water saturation on base boards next to existing toilet and shower that was recently installed approximately 2 years ago. In conclusion to diagnosis and thorough testing, technician was able to locate drip occurring on existing toilet tank bolts.

6/11/26 Arrived to diagnose a main line stoppage. The technician snaked the drain from a 3” wall clean out at the north east side of the house. A camera inspection was done and found heavy amounts of grease throughout the drain line, plus a backwater valve was found at about 50 feet. The back water valve was exposed and removed the flapper. Another camera inspection was done and it’s determined that were the valve sits, it created a belly, about 3 feet downstream and about 13 feet upstream. On 6/12/26 The drain line was Hydro Jetted from the clean out in front of the back water valve to the street. The drain line at the back yard where the 2 clean outs are, was clean out with a Descale machine all the way up to the backwater valve. A final camera inspection was done and the drain line is clean and clear of grease and debris.

Upon arrival, both toilets (hall and first bedroom, not the master) are running. JIG Plumbing will replace the flapper in the hall bath and the fill valve and flapper in the first bathroom. We will check for leaks when finished. The toilets tank to bowl connections appear to be in good condition at this time. The first bathroom glacier bay shower handle moves with difficulty and makes an unusual noise when the handle is moved. It is recommended to replace the glacier bay shower cartridge before the issue becomes worse and a shower valve replacement becomes necessary.

We successfully cleared the stoppage and restored proper drainage. At this time, the shower is draining normally and functioning as intended.

JIG will arrive to re-pipe home in PEX-A pipe from main water inlet to all fixture locations. We will replace two tub/shower valves and trim (chrome trim), we will replace all safety shut off valves to fixtures including laundry bibs, hose bibs, and ice maker box, we will replace supply lines to fixtures, open and close drywall and stucco with texture (no paint). JIG Plumbing came out to rebuild tubular drain system under bathroom sink, installed new P-trap. Adjust existing 2” ABS drain line prior to wall entry to ensure proper alignment and functionality. Reconfigure all under-sink plumbing for correct fit and operation. Work includes all necessary fittings, materials, and labor. JIG Plumbing also replaced existing rubber hose from the dishwasher air gap to the garbage disposal to ensure proper flow and prevent backup.

Upon arrival, the technician confirmed active leaking beneath the kitchen sink, with the primary failure located at the P-trap assembly. The customer advised that previous repair attempts by a handyman had been unsuccessful due to improper installation and incomplete component replacement. The technician also identified that the garbage disposal had previously been installed without replacing the disposal collar (mounting flange), which had already caused visible corrosion at the top of the unit. The technician proceeded with removing and replacing the complete kitchen sink drainage system to ensure proper functionality and long-term reliability. This included installation of a new basket strainer, new garbage disposal, new disposal collar (mounting flange), replacement of the end waste outlet, and a full P-trap assembly replacement. Diagnose and inspect water leak originating from the air gap beneath the sink. JIG Plumbing will disassemble the air gap and hose as necessary to properly identify the source of the leak and assess any issues. The cause of the leak was a loose nut on the plastic air gap, which was tightened. The air gap hole was also cleared to ensure proper drainage and prevent future issues.
