Upon inspection of water leak behind the upstairs master bathroom shower, the technician entered the attic and found a 1/2” copper hot water line directly crossing over a 1/2” black iron gas line which caused electrolysis and severely corroded both of the lines which caused the hot water line to leak. The technician then cut the drywall behind the shower close to the ceiling and the corrosion continued. Estimate to repair will be provided. To repair both lines, the technician will cut both the 1/2” copper line and the 1/2” black iron gas line in the attic and replace the lines from the attic to the shower valve about halfway down the wall. Upon cut open more of the wall, if the technician finds more of the pipes need to be replaced past the shower valve then the technician will contact the owner to update the cost of repair. While the technician was up in the attic, he found the 3/4” copper cold water line also crossing over the top of the gas line and then rerouted the copper line

Upon arrival, water coming up from concrete outdoors to the right of the house, towards the back by the hose and hose bib. JIG plumbing will cut up to 2.5x2.5’ square in the concrete/rock brick and expose pipe and repair. If we need to chase the pipe and find it outside of the 2.5’ square, we will charge 275 per square foot to chase. We will do a rough break in the concrete, not leaving clean cuts. JIG plumbing is not responsible for repairing any damage to the concrete. Warranty will depend on the pipe and material. If the pipe is pvc, pex, or copper, warranty will be one year.
