JIG Plumbing will perform a leak test to determine if either of the irrigation valves are leaking, or if the irrigation feed is leaking. We will make recommendations based on the test. The technician tested the irrigation feed shut off and the irrigation valves. The technician confirmed the irrigation feed is leaking and the irrigation valves fully shut off. He also confirmed that neither of the two irrigation valves feed beyond the property line into the HOA common area by the back yard. It is recommended to replace the irrigation main from the manifold (by the front door) to the irrigation valves. #

Arrived to inspect a leak at a toilet. The technician verified that water was leaking from the existing supply line. The technician replaced both supply lines for the toilets as a courtesy for the customer.

Upon arrival, the water to the home is shut off at the meter. The water has been shut off since insurance arrived on Saturday. No drywall has been removed. The technician noticed the customer has old supply lines which become brittle over time. The technician found at least 10 of these supply lines. The technician returned several days later. Upon arrival, the technician found the water to the home on, drywall removed, and the water pressure to the home at 20 psi. See photo. A section of 1/2” soft copper pipe has failed due to pinhole. The pipe is running from the first floor ceiling to the second story wall behind the upstairs hall lavatory. JIG Plumbing will replace the section of pipe with 1/2” Pex A Uponor Pipe. We will check for leaks when finished. Note: We cannot guarantee the connections to the existing copper pipe, nor can we guarantee that there will not be more pinholes in the near or distant future. Upon arrival, the technician was shown a kitchen sink that was draining very slowly. The technician located the exterior kitchen cleanout and used an electric drain snake to clear the line and restore drainage. As a courtesy and at no additional cost, the technician performed a camera inspection of the drain line after clearing the stoppage. During the inspection, heavy grease buildup was observed coating the interior walls of the drain line, which is restricting flow and contributing to the drainage issues. Based on the camera findings, the technician recommended a drain descale and hydro jetting service to thoroughly clean the pipe walls and help prevent future stoppages. An estimate for the recommended descale and jetting service will be left on file for the customer’s consideration. The customer did not approve the additional service at this time. Upon arrival, the customers downstairs toilet bubbles when water runs anywhere in the home. The technician removed the 2” hose from the mainline cleanout and this solved the issue. The technician ran a garden hose down the mainline cleanout at full pressure, and checked the toilet functionality while running the upstairs shower. There is no blockage at this time.

The technician was very polite and professional. But he made a careless mistake that I haven't found out until the night I heard of the sound of the water. He didn't shut off the water. And I had to asked a friend to come over to help me turn it off as I don't know if I would break it even more.
