Arrived to flush a tankless water heater. Provide options for other services.

Technician arrived on site to perform a camera inspection of the main drain line. During the inspection, it was determined that there is an approximately 5-foot section of piping that had not been previously replaced, consisting of cast iron transitioning into clay pipe. The remainder of the line appears to have been updated, but this section remains a point of concern due to the mixed materials and age. After reviewing findings with the customer, the technician provided options to address the issue, including an estimate to install a spray-in-place liner to restore the integrity of the pipe, as well as an alternative estimate for annual maintenance using a descale machine to manage buildup and potential root intrusion.

Arrive to diagnose a main line stoppage. Main line was snaked from the 3” clean out on the east side at a crawl space access. Once clear the technician did a complementary camera inspection and found roots at about 47 feet in where clay and ABS pipe connect for the back water valve at back patio area. The technician cleaned out the roots using a descale machine to the best of his ability. Another camera inspection was done and the roots were gone. It is recommended to do a spot repair or a liner to eliminate any root intrusion.

JIG Plumbing will supply and install Scale Rx scale reducing filter in-line. Removing existing heater treater and replacing with 3/4” scale Rx. Upon completion all work preformed by JIG Plumbing was thoroughly inspected.

The technician made the landlord aware of all issues: Leaking master shower cartridge, leaking faucets, bad fill valve, and at least 3 bad flappers. Additionally, the water heater is making noise, indicating scale buildup. The customer would like to contact her fire sprinkler contact to have them inspected before opening the ceiling. JIG Plumbing will provide and install a new shower cartridge in the master shower. While the trim is removed, we will inspect for moisture and leaks. After replacing the cartridge and inspecting, the technician did not find any leaks. Additionally, the bathtub spout was not diverting properly so the technician replaced the tub spout- complimentary service. The cartridge and tub spout are operational at this time.

Upon arrival, the technician was directed to a reported leak at the toilet. The customer had previously shut off the angle stop to prevent further water discharge. The technician restored water supply to the fixture and allowed the toilet tank to fill in order to properly diagnose the issue. During inspection and testing, the technician determined that the existing fill valve was malfunctioning and allowing excessive water to enter the tank. The elevated water level was rising above the proper operating height and escaping through the toilet handle assembly, which was the source of the leak. At the customer’s request, the technician removed the defective fill valve and installed a customer-supplied replacement fill valve. After installation, the toilet was tested to ensure proper fill level, shut-off function, and overall operation. The fixture is now functioning as intended at the time of service.

Upon arrival, the technician installed two customer-supplied lavatory faucets. The scope of work included a thorough inspection of all under-sink shutoff valves, proper connection of new water supply lines, and verification of secure, leak-free operation. The technician tested each faucet and associated connections to ensure proper functionality and performance.

Open drain and thoroughly flush water heater to remove tank sediment. No replacement parts or warranty on any existing components included. If any parts require replacement prior to or after flush then this would be an additional cost to service.

Toilet Pull and Reset: Technician will pull the existing toilet, inspect the flange and sealing surface, and reset the toilet using a new standard wax ring and hardware as needed. The toilet will be tested for proper operation and leaks after reinstallation. Water Pressure Reducing Valve Installation: Provide and install a 1” double union water pressure reducing valve (PRV) designed to maintain safe operating water pressure throughout the home, helping to protect plumbing fixtures and appliances from excessive pressure. The PRV will be installed, adjusted to the proper pressure setting, and tested for correct operation. Exclusions: Ball valve and hose bib are not included with this installation. Estimate assumes existing plumbing is in serviceable condition. Any additional work required due to unforeseen conditions will be communicated and approved prior to proceeding.

Upon arrival, the technician was informed of intermittent water leakage appearing at the kitchen ceiling below the Jack and Jill bathroom. The customer reported a previous occurrence where the builder addressed the issue by removing and resetting the toilet. The technician conducted thorough testing of the toilet and tub/shower fixtures but was unable to replicate the leak. Based on findings and the customer’s history, the technician proceeded with removing and resetting the toilet for further inspection. Upon removal, the wax seal was found to be compromised, and evidence of leakage was present around the flange. The toilet drain pipe was also positioned too high. The technician trimmed the drain pipe to proper height, installed a new wax seal and mounting hardware, and then reset the toilet securely. After reinstallation, the technician completed a full functionality and leak test to ensure proper operation.

JIG plumbing arrived to provide options which include install of customer supplied shower drain in shower under remodel and additionally re-pipe options of home with use of Uponor water pipe and patch of drywall/stucco as necessary.

JIG Plumbing will replace the regulator, shut off valve, and hose bib. We will check for leaks. The technician will install all parts with threaded connections and unions for easy future serviceability. Before beginning the work, the technician checked all fixtures for adequate water pressure. After the work was completed, the technician checked all fixtures for adequate pressure. All fixtures are working properly.

We will then make recommendations as to how to fix the issue JIG Plumbing will replace your 40 gallon water heater, adding a drip pan underneath, running a new pressure relief line. Adding a gas sediment trap, and replacing your gas valve, gas supply, water valve, and water supply lines. We will check for leaks. We will also install a thermal expansion tank. We will also remove the recirculation pump, wrap the cord in 10 mil tape (taping the cord off to the side), and cap the dedicated recirculation line. Perform cable service of drain line through access with camera inspection. The technician was able to snake and clear the stoppage from a 3” clean out, that was just affecting the restroom on the south side of the the house. Heavy scale buildup was noticed in some areas while the camera was working. A Descale and Hydro Jetting would be recommended for this drain line. No Warranty. Once clear water was flushed and water ran in shower. Draining properly. A camera inspection was attempted and was unsuccessful due to the camera cutting out, and no clear picture at this times. A location of the drain line was not available due to malfunction of the camera. A second attempt will be made with a different camera at another appointment. A lav stoppage was done in the daughter’s restroom at a dropped trap. Hair and accumulation out. No Warranty

JIG Plumbing will remove the stems from the master restroom faucet and flush the lines, attempting to remove any debris within the faucet. If this is not successful, a new faucet may be necessary. JIG Plumbing will install a new emergency shut off under the master sink, as the existing is leaking. Technician will test thoroughly after installation.

JIGPlumbing will replace a customer supplied laundry box with valves included. A small section of drywall will have to be cut out in order to connect the drain and water lines. No drywall patching or paint included. 1 year warranty on labor.

Upon arrival the technician flushed the toilet once and it backed up immediately. The technician recommended Augering the toilet. The Auger was successful and the accumulation cleared out. No Warranty.
