Perform cable service of drain line through access with camera inspection. The technician was able to snake the 3”main line from a clean out in the front of the property The technician successfully cleared the stoppage and a camera inspection was done . The issue looks to possibly be at the back water valve. The flapper looks to be stuck in the open position. There will be a return trip to get a location and depth.
JIG Plumbing will excavate area immediately behind the water meter in order to gain direct access to the water service line. Once the meter is shut off, the technician will remove a cession of the water service line, and rebuild it using new PVC fittings and pipe, as well as a new connection to the meter itself. After the new repair is installed, the technician will test the line to ensure proper functionality and a lack of leaks.
JIG Plumbing returned for a second recall visit due to a continued leak at the top union of the 1-1/4” PRV. During the first recall visit, we unthreaded the PRV and applied pipe dope to the threads to improve the seal. The union was checked thoroughly before leaving and appeared to be holding; however, the leak reoccurred the following day. On the second recall visit, we unthreaded only the top union and identified a gap between the PRV and the union connection. To correct this, we unsoldered the top union and lowered it approximately one inch to eliminate the gap and allow for a better seal with the gasket between the PRV and union. It is important to note that JIG Plumbing did not provide a full PRV rebuild. This was a direct swap using the same brand and size, while reusing the existing unions to help reduce costs for the customer. Upon arrival, the technician diagnosed a leak originating from the main water meter area. The affected section was exposed and repair options were presented to the customer. An initial repair was completed using new PVC fittings connected to the existing water lines; however, the repair did not hold due to high water pressure. A return visit was required to address the issue. During the second repair, the technician reworked the PVC connection and utilized a high-pressure-rated PVC adhesive to ensure a secure and lasting bond. The system was then tested to confirm proper function and that no further leaks were present.
The technician arrived on site and augered a stopped-up toilet, successfully clearing the blockage and restoring proper flow. The fixture was tested to ensure normal operation and no further issues were present. At the customer’s request, the technician also augered a second toilet as a preventative maintenance measure. This fixture was not experiencing any active blockage at the time of service. The maintenance augering was completed at no additional charge.
Upon arrival, the technician serviced the upstairs master bathroom sink drain by utilizing an electric drain snake to clear the blockage. During the process, buildup consisting of hair and debris was retrieved from the line on the cable. After clearing the obstruction, the technician thoroughly tested the drain to ensure proper flow, functionality, and that no leaks were present. The system is now operating as intended.
JIG Plumbing will be replacing a premium Kohler shower cartridge. The service fee from today will be applied toward the cost of the cartridge replacement. The premium cartridge replacement includes both parts and labor, and a discount has been applied as approved by the office. Upon completion scope of work was thorough inspected satisfied customer. ✅
Replace 1 inch ball valve install 1 inch pressure, relief valve and a three-quarter inch hose bib NEW 1" prv with ball valve and hose bib.
Replacement with same size and brand as existing prv, as well as a new hose bib in the backyard. Technician will perform a descale flush while work is completed at no additional charge.
JIG Plumbing will replace a section of the water service line. The existing 3/4” hose bib will be removed and replaced with a new 3/4” quarter-turn shutoff valve. Since the customer no longer requires the irrigation system, the installation of this dedicated shutoff valve will properly isolate the irrigation line and eliminate the current leak.
Upon arrival, the technician returned to complete restoration work related to a previous repair where a burst water line was found behind the toilet shut-off valve. During the prior visit, the technician rebuilt the affected section of the water line and replaced the toilet shut-off valve to restore proper water service and prevent further leakage. Following the plumbing repair, the wall was repaired and painted as part of the restoration process. After the wall had been painted, the technician proceeded with replacing the two lavatory emergency shut-off valves serving the bathroom sink due to failure of the existing valves. At the time of service, the vanity had not yet been installed, leaving the hot and cold water supply lines accessible. The technician removed the existing faulty shut-off valves and installed two new lavatory emergency shut-off valves. Care was taken to avoid damaging the newly painted wall during the installation. Arrived to provide pricing to service a backed up kitchen drain line. Technician used drain snake and broke up stoppage. It appears to have just been a blockage, and not grease buildup. Technician tested thoroughly upon completion of work to ensure no further issues.
Upon arrival, the technician installed a Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff on the home’s existing main water inlet. This device is designed to monitor the home’s water usage, detect potential leaks, and automatically shut off the water supply if abnormal flow or leaks are detected to help prevent possible water damage. To complete the installation, the technician shut down the home’s main water supply and drained the system as necessary. The exterior water service riser was then rebuilt to properly accommodate the new device and improve accessibility for future servicing. The technician installed the Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff according to manufacturer specifications and added two new full-port ball valves: one isolation valve for the main house water supply and a second isolation valve dedicated to the irrigation system. Technician flushed the tankless water heater to remove buildup and ensure optimal performance. Cleared debris from the disposal to air gap discharge hose to maintain proper drainage. Provided the customer with estimates and recommendations for installing a water softening system and a pressure reducing valve (PRV), including suggested placement and system benefits.

Arrived to diagnose a toilet stoppage upstairs. The technician gave the customer options, and the toilet was Augered first. The toilet was unable to clear, so the toilet had to be pulled to further inspect. There was heavy accumulation of paper and some sort of rubbery, gelatin material in the drain. The technician was able to remove and clear as much as possible. The toilet was reset and tested. Working properly. No Warranty.
JIG Plumbing arrived on site to inspect a reported water leak from the second floor leaking into the garage ceiling below. Upon inspection and diagnostic testing, the source of the leak was located at the 1-1/2” PVC waste and overflow assembly. JIG Plumbing exposed the affected area and removed the existing 1-1/2” PVC waste and overflow. The assembly was replaced with a new ABS P-Trap and waste/overflow components. After installation, the system was tested and no leaks were present from the newly installed drain components. During final testing, an additional leak was observed when the handheld shower was activated and water was sprayed onto the valve trim cover and tub spout area. JIG Plumbing removed the existing caulking around the tub spout and valve trim cover and applied new white silicone caulking to seal the area. Upon arrival, the technician was shown a Takagi tankless water heater that was not functioning properly. The technician inspected the unit and found it displaying error code 121, which indicates a “loss of flame.” After discussing options with the customer, it was decided to first attempt a maintenance service to address potential causes by flushing the unit and cleaning the flame rods. The technician isolated the tankless water heater, connected a circulation pump, and flushed the heat exchanger with a manufacturer-approved descaling solution to remove mineral buildup. After the flush was completed, the unit was thoroughly rinsed with clean water and returned to normal configuration. The technician then accessed the burner assembly and removed and cleaned the flame rods to remove carbon buildup and help restore proper flame sensing. The unit was reassembled and tested. JIG Plumbing will open the drywall to find the failed pipe. Water damage has occurred inside the dining room and in the drywall in the garage. The technician found a failed 1/2” soft copper line leading to the laundry hot side shut off valve. The failure appears to be recent, and the customer head the noise last night and shut off the water. The technician removed the failed section of pipe and replaced it with new Pex. Additionally, he replaced the existing gate valve with a new whole house shut off ball valve. Due to the age of the piping in the home, replacing all hot and cold water supply piping is recommended.

Arrived to diagnose a gas leak. Gas Company shut gas at meter. Line was pressurized with air to determine were the leak was. The technician found the leak at water heater gas valve. New one and flex line were installed.
Arrived to install a customer supplied lav faucet at the hallway restroom. All connections were checked . Everything working properly.
Upon arrival, the technician observed wet carpet in the living room area. After further investigation to determine the source of the moisture, the technician traced the leak to the wall cavity behind the toilet located on the opposite side of the fireplace. Inspection revealed that the water was leaking from the water supply line inside the wall behind the toilet shut-off valve. The stub-out supplying the toilet was copper, although the home’s plumbing system is primarily PEX. The copper section had burst, allowing water to escape into the wall and migrate into the adjacent living room area, saturating the carpet. To correct the issue, the technician cut out the damaged section of copper piping back to the PEX line and rebuilt the water supply connection, properly transitioning from PEX to a copper stub-out.
