Upon arrival the customer talked me through the area drain issue and after a quick walk through, options were given. The technician proceeded to snake the area drain from the curb exit point of access. The technician cabled the drain line a couple of times and successfully pulled out roots and water started to drain out. A camera inspection was also done and the drain line looks in good condition. At about 62 feet there is a connection that is buried that goes in the direction to the house at around the sprinkler system valves. That has a ball of roots in it but cannot get them with the cable because the cable is going straight. In order to get to this connection it would have to be dug up and exposed , to correct the issue. This concludes the scope of work. No Warranty.

The customer was informed and they are contacting the company that last replaced it. The technician went ahead and took apart the shower cartridge to inspect it and also clean the valve of any debris’s. Once everything was put back together, the water was turned back on to inspect the issue. Water still continued to drip, and the customer was informed about replacing it. They are having the company that last came out, to work on it since it’s still under warranty. An estimate is on file for a cartridge replacement.

Upon arrival, the technician found bubbling in the downstairs ceiling directly below the upstairs hall full bathroom. The ceiling, wall outside the closet, wall inside the closet, and floor is damaged. The sliding metal guide for the sliding closet door is rusted. JIG Plumbing will open the ceiling to locate where the moisture is coming from. The discovery fee will go towards the repair. The technician cut holes in the ceiling and traced the leak to the source upstairs. The technician opened the drywall behind the upstairs bathroom and found an AC unit condensate drain that was completely disconnected! The technician will return tomorrow and reconnect the condensate drain to the bathroom tailpiece. We will check for leaks. A Repipe is still highly recommended based on the age of the pipes, the fact that the pipes are type M thin walled pipes, and the visible corrosion on the pipes. Drywall patch not included.

Upon arrival the customer stated that he had issues with water backing up into the downstairs toilet when the laaundry drained out. The customer stated that it only does it once in a while. The technician went ahead and opened the 3”clean out outside and saw no water holding. Then the technician opened and removed the backwater valve cap and immediately noticed roots. The technician was able to pull out the roots and did a video inspection of the sewer line going in both directions. Going downstream from the backwater valve around 1-2 feet there is what appears to be a small crack on the fitting,pipe. It’s a possibility the roots were or are penetrating from there. A repair will be required and an estimate will be given. JIG will excavate up to four foot deep to replace cracked section of ABS sewer pipe and replace damaged and root intruded back water valve. Upon arrival, the pressure was low at every fixture. Noah watched his pressure gauge before the regulator and the pressure remained stable when water was running. However, when the pressure gauge was hooked up after the pressure regulator, the pressure dropped from 55 to 15 when water runs. Installed a customer supplied skirted toilet. Woodbridge electronic bidet toilet. The existing angle stop had to be replaced with the one supplied with the toilet. Once the toilet was set in place, there is a small piece in front of the toilet were the tile is missing, the Customer aware. The tile was missing prior to removing the toilet. Before arriving, the technician was informed that a previous plumbing company was out to investigate the leak and had opened 3 holes of drywall. Upon arrival, the technician investigated what was the source of the leak and found that the leak only happens when the upstairs master bathroom, left side lavatory ways running. This shows the leak if on the lavatory drain. To access, the technician will need to cut open the top of the cabinet above the microwave in order to access the drain.
